A test of some special effect work. Maybe I'll animate it sometime.
The Patriarch takes fires from an unseen adversary.
-
it needs some better lighting and maybe some motion blur, but its a good effort :)
-
Umm...it has blur, look again. Too much and it looks like ****, trust me.
Besides, it was more to test the effects then anything else.
-
And I've seen your work and I'm not having any visions of comparing. :D
Nice models you do wEvil. Fairly high-poly?
-
the beam needs a bigger glow...
-
two things:
1. The laserglow is way too big. Resize it.
2. Make the lens flare farther away from the beamglow, or remove it completely. It looks crap right now.

-
if you're using lightwave, then I can't help. If max, then... well, I could use a better description.

Select your Light and press "T" that way you can use your mouse to position the light as you want. If you want it to put it on a beam then select your light and press "M" then make the light a parent of the beam. that way you have a beam glow.;)

I think it loks blury enough.
