Hey all - I just figured that one thing we haven't really talked about much in the great HL debates is which emotion or feeling is the strongest. Hence this thread. Everyone pick up to three emotions or feelings and rank them in strength order (strongest/weakest).
1: Love
2: Anger
3: Lonliness

Gosh, if I spoke Greek, I'd be able to list "love" 3 times without beinbg redundant, but since I don't, you'll just have to forgive me. :D

1: Love,...as it tends to push one into all the other emtions.
Anger at being ignored by someone you love
Hatred at them being with another
Joy of holding them
Lust of the first time being intimate with them
Lonliness of not being next time them
Fear of losing them
While all of them can be felt seperately,... no one other emtion leads you to feel so many other and completely contridicting emtions.

i say that love and anger are the strongest, although love may be a little more than anger.
Why do i say that? Because people kill out of love and/or anger, but people don't kill out of loneliness

I have a sort of lack of other emotions so my opinion may be skewed....

1) Love (after all, love is bassically wanting to have sex and procreate, and from my understanding, that is the basic drive for every species . To have children and keep the species going.)
2) Anger. Anger is equal to love.
which brings me to the point; where do all these emotions come from? i mean, who decided one day that having Sex, creating children, and moving on wasn't enough? "oh, baby, i'm kinda lonely, i think i want to be with you for the rest of my life. I love you."

- Motive for Vengeance. Nothing can match that. :yes: :yes: :yes:

- Hate :yes:

unfortunately this is an exercise in futility since there are as many shades of emotions as colours in the universe.
but in my personal experience love is the strongest emotion, through either a detached alstruism or the inbuilt need to propagate the species or simple family ties, it is the glue that sticks humans together into communities.

its not something somebody decided doing - it just happened one day and trust me, if you need someone around that much and they cant be there it hurts like hell.

That is why Vengenace and anger own. They make you powerfull, invincible. :yes:

And careless and cold.
If you rely on vengeance and hatred for your emotional fuel you'll find it burns you out in record speed, leaving you with very little left.

Im an Aquarius and its just one of those unfortunate moments when the rest of my planets werent in good places :)
Geminis are usually characterised by curiosity, good mental abilities and a slightly nebulous set of opinions on things most people feel strongly about.

I dunno, I think "there's something in my nose" overrides all of these. I mean, when you're in love, you don't have all the smoochy-woochy crap going on in your head all the time, but cram a good-sized asparagus sprig up there, and man- you won't be forgetting it's there for a second!
Same with hate. In fact, you can be going full-blast at someone, and at the same time, I can guarantee you'll be wondering, deep down, whether to devote more thought to your smoldering emnity or the foreign object crammed up your nostril.
Yes, that odd feeling of discomfort that comes with knowing that something's working its way up your nasal passage is truly what makes the world go round.

Actually I am kinda optimistic, but I think that love as the most powerfull emotion is much more....girly. My life isn't a soap opera for crying out loud. :mad2:

If you really, reeeeaaalllyy want to read what he posted, hilight it. But I recommend against it - I was hungry... :doubt: // Sandwich
It was some sort of flexible plastic tube with a vacuum cleaner type thing attached to the other end; there were still lots of the residue blood/mucus globs clogged up in there after the surgery, so I had to go each week to clean those for a month or so. They sprayed this really nasty smelling stuff into my nose first, which mostly numbed the nerves, but the vacuum thing was still a bit painful, and of course uncomfortable in the extreme. After that, there was some kind of long metal thing with a hooked end which they used to dig out more stuff manually. oh, and the strangest looking things came out; I won't even get into that... :D

...although love does appear to be popular, its more of a range of emotions combined. Personally i'd say the strongest of them was "concern for the loved person's well being and safety"... fit that into a single word, i'm too tierf to do it.
