Title: Lightwave importers for 3d studio ?
Post by: Warlock on October 31, 2002, 01:07:53 pm
Anyone know of any plugins for 3d Max R3 that will import lwo and lws files? I've got some starblazers models I want to do some renders with but they're in LWO object files with a LWS setup for each of the three ships.

Thanks

Uninstalling, registry cleaning, reinstalling should work. I haven't tried it yet, though.

Is there an intermediate format you can save in to transfer between them? Example, neither Rhino nor Truespace can read eachother's files but they can both read DXFs.

I think there's a place... 3Dmaxer.dk or 3DSmaxer.dk... got tons of plugins, including a 3DS>LWO. I'll check.

Oops- sorry, forgot.

Looks like I got it wrong- there's an IMPORTER on Renderosity (http://www.renderosity.com/freestuff.ez?Topsectionid=7&Sectionid=48), but that's about it.

At any rate, you'll probably find this site useful, anyway.
