But a Deimos with bump mapping. Which really makes it look better if you ask me. And I love what you've done with the Ursa - do the rest of the fleet like that at it'll look incredibly kick ass.

It might be worth co-ordinating with the source code project on this? If future game builds support bump-mapping and so on then it'd be cool to have the game ships ready to stick into the engine when it's done!

very odd...the bump-mapping seems to make all of the ships look somehow smaller...

Actually, that might be a good thing. Making warships seem more powerful. But then the Sathanas in High Noon would crash everybody's computer.

They probably dont look big as there are cos theres nothing to compare them with.

no, double the texture tileing, so that it looks like there is more panels.
