This has gone through some other topics lately, so why don't we make this official:
Which of the forementioned campy, naive, bloodless yet actionpacked E-rated actioncomedys you like best.
Why do I have a feeling that the A-team is going to win that one. F00! :D
-
- Airwolf was a little too ghey.
- MacGyver kicked ass because things blew up and he could turn a dogs intenstine into a Mach-5 Jet using only a screw-driver and three bits of duct-tape.
- Knight-Rider had David Hasselhoff in (ie, it's as ghey as a Kentuckian called Billy-Bob who lives with 8 brothers, all called Lance)
The A-Team kicked f00kin ass.
-
Blue Thunder?
-
A-team !!:D
-
You missed out out manimal and automan. They weren`t any good but they were as 80's camp as you can get :D
-
never heard of any of them... :p
-
What about Miami Vice?

dammit, should have remembered to include that. Bakula rulez!!!
-
well... I do lub A-team, Airwolf, and Macgyver. but out of them, I say A-team, second comes first season Airwolf, after that MacGyver. Knight Rider comes after that, somewhere.
and you forgot V...
-
And streethawk. Knightrider on a bike, but not very good :D
For that matter how could you mention Airwolf but forget Blue Thunder?
-
Miami Vice, Quantum Leap, Murder She Wrote, the orther Murder she wrote show, Baywatch (how old is baywatch?) basically any show that is on TNN

Yeah but I don`t think Murder She Wrote and Diagnosis Murder were made for the same audience as the shows we were talking about :D
-
well ya know... shut up you.
There's still this big gap in my memory from 1979 to 1988 so bare with me here.
You can't forget the cartoons though. He-Man , ThunderCats, Transformers
What about Growing Pains, CHiPs, or Diff'rent Strokes? Do those count?
-
Alright! Now you asked for it... Pick on my Airwolf will you?
The only show that could reak more than this:
"MacGyver kicked ass because things blew up and he could turn a dogs intenstine into a Mach-5 Jet using only a screw-driver and three bits of duct-tape"
Is this: The Misfits of Science.... (King of Camp) The 80's version of Mutant X but 100 times WORSE! BTW Someone should get manimal nudered!!!

V had 11 episodes. And technically, Murder She Wrote doesn't count, because people actually die in those.

that is weird. I mean, I've already seen about 12 or so of the series, plus the mini-series.
och, and marc singer should not be allowed to wear jeans.
-
Anyone else remember the short-lived Misfits of Science?
Or the even more tragically short-lived Quark?
-
Speaking of V, it'd really be nice if they did a Special Edition of the whole miniseries because the SFX is pretty damn corny. :D

come on, corny SFX is the main reason to watch 80-s series.

no, that's what the 60-s series is for. The 80-s are for watching naive action-buzzes with loads of footage that are used 20-30 times straight, and where no-one gets killed, even though in at least every episode hundreds of things explode.
-
and that doesn't even start to sound corny to you?
-
aah, MacGyver seems to be catching up. The plan is working. Yes, yes!!!
*waits for Thunder to vote 10 000 000 times for A-team*
-
Don't even think about it!
