Title: Best campy 80-s series.
Post by: Stunaep on November 03, 2002, 08:43:47 am
This has gone through some other topics lately, so why don't we make this official:

Which of the forementioned campy, naive, bloodless yet actionpacked E-rated actioncomedys you like best.

Why do I have a feeling that the A-team is going to win that one. F00! :D

Yeah but I don`t think Murder She Wrote and Diagnosis Murder were made for the same audience as the shows we were talking about :D

well ya know... shut up you.

There's still this big gap in my memory from 1979 to 1988 so bare with me here.

You can't forget the cartoons though. He-Man , ThunderCats, Transformers

What about Growing Pains, CHiPs, or Diff'rent Strokes? Do those count?

Alright! Now you asked for it... Pick on my Airwolf will you?

The only show that could reak more than this:

"MacGyver kicked ass because things blew up and he could turn a dogs intenstine into a Mach-5 Jet using only a screw-driver and three bits of duct-tape"

Is this:  The Misfits of Science.... (King of Camp) The 80's version of Mutant X but 100 times WORSE! BTW Someone should get manimal nudered!!!

V had 11 episodes. And technically, Murder She Wrote doesn't count, because people actually die in those.

Anyone else remember the short-lived Misfits of Science?

Or the even more tragically short-lived Quark?

Speaking of V, it'd really be nice if they did a Special Edition of the whole miniseries because the SFX is pretty damn corny. :D

come on, corny SFX is the main reason to watch 80-s series.

no, that's what the 60-s series is for. The 80-s are for watching naive action-buzzes with loads of footage that are used 20-30 times straight, and where no-one gets killed, even though in at least every episode hundreds of things explode.
