The second one was getting too messy with all the completed requests. If you still have a request, post it here regardless of whether you posted it in the other thread.

Guidelines are the same as the previous incarnation:

A) Forum graphics. No main logo yet (I'm too busy rendering CBs to render a main logo, but the attachments as reply/Newthread buttons and a general deep blue edge, olive green background.

B) Attachments coming up.

C) Remove Vypers moderator access in LM forums. Done. As for the others, I've never messed with forum graphics, and don't have the time to start now - sorry. // Sandwich


The problem with your forum graphics are that I can't find any style for your forum. That means that i would have to create a new one beacuse LM forum is not on the list for some strange reason. I will begin with it as soon as i talk with shrike. untill den you will just have to wait//Windrunner [/COLOR]

Admins: When you notice a 'New' request and it's being taken care of, please edit the post and move it to the 'Old' Requests Uncompleted section, so i know you're taking care of it!

Not to bug, but could NTV get a color scheme for the forum? Something that matches the avatar?

Er... okay... please rig my account to allow attatchment posting (if you trust me not to upload pr0n), and modify the vB Code Help (http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~freespace/forums/misc.php?action=bbcode#buttons) link on the reply page to explain each and every UBB tag that can be used at HLP (cos I suspect that there are some I don't know/forgot, and it'll impress the n00bs).

If that's still a little ambiguous than forget the whole thing

Thank You - On a more Technical note, is it possible to edit the valid file types for attatchment? If so could you add .pcx, .fs2, .ani etc.?

- FTP access for Sesq

(FTP because he does the most uploading besides me at the moment, as he's handling the interface art for ships (in particular), and also because he does the same for quite a few other projects here too, so I think it'd be useful for a number of people)

- A main downloads page linked from the frontpage of HLP... linking to all the 'downloads' pages on the hosted sites (i.e. inferno downloads, OtT downloads, Rec downloads, etc)

- removal of the broken links on the frontpage (assuming this isn't already done in the meantime since I last looked)

- any news on the mod database?

Having problems using ASP on our site, is it possible DATDB can have access to an ODBC DB for a news database? If CGI is our only option maybe you can email me the info on ensuring my site will use CGI scripts properly. As it is now it reads .cgi files as text.

Also, could the DATDB staff all get an email address according to their usernames on this forum?

I warned you that ASP support would be tricky where ODBC is concerned... Don't know what to say beyond that, dude. :doubt:

And what do you mean by emails? As in, [email protected]? IIRC those are only given out to admins, i.e. GameSpy hosted sites' staffers.  // Sandwich

Well, I didn't think forum graphics had something to do with that.

Email addresses for DATDB Staff (all of them) Just go to
http://www.3dactionplanet.com/hlp/hosted/datdb

Click the staff page and give the email addresses according to their online name(ex. [email protected])

Lonestar (me) doesnt need an email address for datdb ad im using the primary one and have about 6 email addies already.
Do not give amial addy's to future staffers (yet) nor to people mentioned on the Special thanks area of the staff page.

P.S. I tried to send an email about joining the HLP staff but been snubbed. I know you guys cld use some knowledgeable people of FS2 and Web Design in your staff. Worst of all i just want access for 10 minutes to update that frontpage of yours and fix that danged broken image on your frontpage.
I offered, and would be happy to help, but all in all a yes or no will suffice at this point just to acknowledge the fact u know ive asked and i have some sort of answer.
