Me want!
-
Criminy. I thought they were already having problems with quantum tunneling at the current fab sizes. Wonder how they dealt with it this time?
-
as small as a virus... hmm that makes me wonder if tis possible to inject these things into my blood stream to enhance the performance of my body's functions :doubt: just ignore that
-
Cool. Now we can all inject ourselves with nanites and see what happens when you hack into someone else's body.
[arm lifts independent of self, starts beating Stryke uncontrollably]
Plus, I can install Win2K on people who displease me! Mwuhahahaa!
-
I wonder what that means for magick users ;)

LOL! But what happens when those girls start slapping him? Won't they knock something out of whack? I think that qualifies as a new definition of "force feedback!" ;) :D :p
-
bollocks is Intel at the forefront of that process technology.
anyway, its not a patch on .13u SOI or optical processors

*ahem* Back to topic, please. :doubt:

Everything is getting smaller!! Soon they'll be crancking out mobile phones the size of postage stamps and super computers the size of tic tacs. Though it would be cool to have all those little nanobots floating around, fixing whatever might be wrong with you. :D Oooooooh... Think, NANOSABERS!!! You got the hilt and then when you press the button, "whoom" this cluster of lil ol nano bots spews out to form a blade as thin as an atom, but stronger than titanium. So it can cut through everything... :D

They do that already. I've seen a cell phone the built into a wristwatch.
-
Wait a minute...
They've deceptively worded these things. By sticking nanometers as the units, they make it seem incredibly small. In actuality 90nm is only .09 microns (compared to today's standard .13 micron transitors) which is not THAT much smaller. So yes, it may increase it by a significant amount (2-3 times the transitor density) but nothing insanely huge that would create supercomputers in wristwatches or something
Now when they start measuring in attometers (atto=10^-18)... ;7 ;7 ;7
-
actually todays standard is between .13 and .25, so id stick the average at .18 :p

Why not yoctometers (= 10^-24)? :p

:wtf:

Damn! When things start to get THAT small, people will be afraid to use they're vacuum cleaners!
