Its just :ick
Its not like you use your poloroid to take pictures in space. Maybe its just me, I just don't like outher space renders with lense flare. Now animations is a whole different story.

ahhah BTW without the flare it would suck worse TRUST ME i tried it i re rendered that thing like what 5 times or so different suns nebula ETC and the left side of sovie has a hole in the hull :p so i couldnt get full use of neb :p

Isn't a render implied as a still image of an animation thou ? ;)
Besides ,.. even though one might not use a polaroid in space...I'm quite sure whatever device was choosen to capture an image would indeed include a lens on it :D

I like it better already
But ofcourse another nitpick :p Motion blur would be nice...
-
how much motion blur?
-
Unless the ship's entering warp I wouldn't do much....think of the shows,... for the most part the larger ships seemed to actually be going slow at Impulse speeds.
So say if your motionblur setting was 0-100 .... I'd stay below 40

it's really not "new"; i mean, it debuted 8 years ago.
