Wish I could help. Those are some VERY high-class ships. I love the textures.
Oh, and a freighter's designation is Fr, T is for transports.

So you start a campaign again? I hope this one will see a happy conclusion (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Oh, f*ck! Damn those are nice ships..!
And I agree - I hope this campaign goes better than the last. Any reason you're not going to use all those old nice ships of yours? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

You really like those checks, eh? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Might re-skin 1 or 2 ships for it.... I'm considering re-doing the Claymore and Gagaan, plus using the Gryphon & Safat for this one. I'm prob. ready to start work on the first set of missions, as far as mods go, and I've had an offer of help, so I will hopefully be able to get a demo of some form by the start of October.

Re-doing them? Are you some workaholic or something?
*glances down FS Modding Forum*
Ahhh, never mind. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

Actually, I'm considering remodelling the Claymore instead.... figure I neeed 1 or 2 more mods for the first section to balance out the campaign.

I've decided to keep the original Claymore in the campaign, and add in it's 'big brother', the Claymore Mk.II, which is sort of a cross between that and the Firehawk design.
I've released the wireframe renders of the ship (not textured yet) on the website, plus I've also added the wireframe images of the Cherufe - formerly named Echidna - light bomber, based on the Erinyes. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
The Rapier has one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen. Damn well done.
-
I agree, great textures. your ships are amazingly high-quality. what program did you use to texture? it can't be TS1 can it? if it's something above TS1, I'd like to know how you got a hold of it. I don't think you can download any version other than TS1 (without getting a demo with no saving function). though if there's a place where you can, let me in on it (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

hey, I just noticed the name you used for your task force, Antares. funny, that's the name of the "final" AC in Aromored Core 2: Another Age. though I'd be suprised if anyone else knew that, or has even played that game.

It's also the name of a fronteir(ish) system in FS - most of the action takes place in fighting a rebellion spreading form Ikeya, to Ribos (I think) to Antares. The GTVA blockades Antares and, in the second episode, the player is sent in with a Special Ops taskforce of very high-tec ships to investigate the causes of rebellion (weher it gets interesting)
Oh, and;

(EDIT)
Also, I use UVWrapper for creating the maps - basically it allows me to create a single map for each side (left, right, top, etc) and also to shift around little parts (overlapping areas) in the map. I get a wee bit of 'seamage', but is very minor and easily fixed in most cases.
To be honest, I needed a lot of help from Eth in learning how to both use it, and also in how to play about with obj files and hand write the material library for them.
