These are only the preliminary textures until I get TS...

How long do you think it took me?

Top view...

The FTS Hood (renegade frigate)
Guns: 6, 1 double-barreled turret
Missile Bays: 2 all-purpose
Engine: Kashari 998 pulse-feed capable of 50 kps.
Crew: 3 (2 pilots, 1 gunner)
Notes: The FTS Hood was originally built to transport cargo through the dangerous asteroid belts of Sol and other systems, but the design has been adopted and modified by the renegades of the Belt and is the pirates' all-purpose ship, a heavy fighter capable of hooking onto and carrying cargo pods. Extreme caution is recommended when confronting them, as they are well-armed and camouflaged, and often convoys dissappear in the Belt without ever knowing what hit them.

The design is o.k. verging on weird
but the square edges make it look like plastic, should look better with new textures... (I hope!!!)

Nice. As long as those textures aren't final, especially on the sides there.

You're off. Half an hour, including multiple computer lockups. The textures are extremely temporary- I hate them too. But it looks better than the red default, so I did it anyway. It's supposed to be squarish- it's made from scrap metal of destroyed warships!

I'm starting to like the cockpit texture though, even if the top is screwed up (that's bad mapping anyway)

Yeah, I like the rusty texture. Even if I can't for my life figure out how all that rust got there in a vacuum...

Hey your ship! I think they have a cream for that...

Belt pirates do a lot of spacecrack, and man that stuff can eat through anything (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Maybe that also explains the color scheme.

Maybe I should have the Volition Bravos ship be their command vessel...

Here's one you might prefer- less angular. It even has a lens flare!  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

IC Enforcer

Guns: 4
Rockets: 2 med. bays
Engine: Trijet fusion- 65 kps
Crew: 1
Notes: The IC equivalent of the Herc Mk. II, this heavy fighter relies more on potent IC technologies than numbers of weapons. The Enforcer is widely used by militias and police forces, hence the name.

The ICF Banshee
Guns: 8
Rockets: 0
Engine: Screamer high-pulse engine (70 kps)
Crew:1
Notes: The ICF Screamer is a cheap, easy-to-produce superiority fighter designed by CSI SpaceTech. Unfortunately, its stripped-down design allows no room for advanced power plants, rocket launchers, shield generators, or cockpit, and pilots are sandwiched in a 2X6 cylinder with controls strapped directly to their temples reading cranial impulses. Naturally, this does not allow for good survivability in combat, but the eight primary banks make up in some way for its shortcomings.

Well, the Sol Terrans don't know anything about that, so  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)
