I'm mainly posting this for the NTV guys (including myself) who are redoing :V: missions such as Surrender Bellisarius and Into the Malestrom from the NTFs perspective. What I want to know is how does everyone see the use of Volitions Voice acting in those missions? At this point, NTV will probably not be voice acted (we're never going to be able to get a suitable Bosch for example). So, I'd like to know what people think on the subject - I see two possibilities - that any voice acting at all is bettter than none, or that the prescence of the odd line of sound or two will simply accentuate the abscence of sound elsewhere.
So vote, vote vote :D.

That would be obscenely annoying to all the sudden have someone start talking.
Either give it all or nothing. So you won't find a perfect Bosch... ask around. If not, do the closest you can. It doesn't matter that much. Anime does it all the time ;)
I'd like voice acting, but if it feels like I am being ****ed in the ear when i play the mission, it might not be a good idea.

All, or none at all.
Preferably all, of course. Myself, I intend never to work on a campaign without voices. It's my main ***** with most projects, current and completed.
-
None, If ya can't do it perfect drop it :p (if it can be done well then do it of course..)
(yeah I don't like anime dubbing either...)
-
well the obvious is all or none, but some guys with really nerdy voices i cant stand, its worse then none at all. But im used to having command talk to me... not expect me to read and shoot at the same time... thats multitasking... something thats beyond uh... some of us.

I'd prefer voice acting, just so long as it's done well. I remember some of the voice acting done for some of the early FREDZone missions that were submitted to PXO...let's just say that country drawl dialogue does NOT enhance the Freespace experience! :shaking:

I don't want all the dialoge to be text and then have one line blurted out from the original V mission.
-
All or none, as long as its done well. Take "The Babylon Project" as an example of how its supposed to be done.
-
I'm with Master Yoda on this one...
"Do or do not...there is no try."
If you do use V's voices, the whole campaign should also have voices. If you can't find a suitable Bosch, just don't give him lines beyond what's from FS2.
It'll certainly break the suspension of disbelief for me if only half the dialogue is there... :ick

I just realized...Bosch isn't in my campaign, so I don't need to worry about finding a voice for him! WHOO HOO!
Makes my job easier. :)

LOL

The only time V voice is good, is when it's accompanied by other voices as well. That means, that if you use V voice, then better get someone to do the rest of it as well. Like in LM (you'll see).

Like basicaly everyone else here I say either do voice for all lines or none. No half measures please.
