The invasion of Earth
(http://www.planethardwar.com/~hwcomic/FSBlender%20site/renders/invasion_of_earth2.png)
My rendition of what it might have looked like when the Shivans are about to destroy earth. BTW I've never seen the movie 'cuz I never lost. In case of copyright stuff or whatever. I got the earth textures at this site http://gw.marketingden.com/planets/earth.html .

Fighters and Bombers that are scaled to the Lucifer.

eh... the engine glows need work... and possibly lighting up the fighters and bombers (and/or make them more plentiful)
on the subject of engine glows, try a custom lense flair, or anything else that could make those "glow" better.

Hmm.
-Replace the red dots with actual Shivan fighters and bombers, in the foreground and further away. They don't all need to be tiny.
-Fix the lighting. Have Earth's surface lit and everything else lit in the same way; everything looks ambient right now.
-Find a better Earth model, or use a hi-res picture. There are no clouds on it right now, little atmosphere, and no lighting.
-Throw in an Arcadia and a few other feeble Terran ships cowering before the Lucifer's might.
Otherwise it's a good start. I think I saw something like this in one of the art galleries.

I disagree with replacing the lights. I think there should be more of them, to look like an invading hoard. I love the fact that you CAN'T see the fighters, but you know they're there.
The only thing I think should be improved is the Lucifer itself. It looks kind of flat.

The only light that is in the whole render that you can see doing something is the "Sun". I didn't want a planet that didn't have a night time.

Is there one? Whenever I lost (which was only once :D ) I just got left in subspace with no end game trigger.

No clouds?! Did you look at it at all? The whole scene is way more then 175,000 polys! and most (maybe about 150,00) are in the earth model.
