Funky. Seen Styxx's Electrobeams?

Nice. Got any tile translation on that?

It's still not done but it's the lightningbeam used in the shivan swarm campaign
-
Groovy baybe! :thepimp:
The colors are quite nice indeed
(only thing is that for some reason they remind me of an ice cream... dunno why)
-
Indeed, very much like the Electrobeams... Cool. :)
-
Now this looks more like lightning...

  dam i also thought it whas a impact ani........

Now just make it into a FighterBeam and we've got ourselves a kickass Tesla Cannon. :D
-
sweet, (i've beaten you to it though  ) i find using the straight red lightning more reminissiant to the beam that is blasting the deimos on the cover of the freespace 2 cd holders.
The multicolored blue red one, thin it out just a bit so it can look a lil more streamline IMHO.

Bingo!
But you know what, I would add even more lightning bursts emmiting from the beam core. And how about a warm up where the beam doesn't have that crap assembling animation (the ordinary one in FS2) but some sort of lightnings concentrating in the middle and WHAM! Lightning beams are da bomb!
-

[WOW]^3! I gotta dowload this package. [Searches Internet]
[Five Minutes Later] Can anyone give me a link?
-
what? the Lightining beams?

That would require a source code change. Currently the warm-up is just a pcx which gets larger, not an ani.
-
Hm. I guess your're right about that one. Well it's just a thought though.
-
Actually, I think Razor's talking about the particles. You can set the beam to have no particles, or (I think) you can have it reference a different ANI.
