This may be a bit OT for this forum, but I just got a new Hi-Fi, which is connected up to my Pc...

anyway, I've discovered that FS sound absolutely fantastic with Aureal Base (high base or something) and Stadium sound settings - it really improves the game.

Just though this might be of interest to those who haven't though of it.

hmm..i did the same thing a year ago (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif) and i conected a 250 watt speaker 6 moths ago sounds damm good (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I got 250W extra BASS speakers with my PC over 3 years ago and got a LIVE! later - Ohhhhhhh,                yerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Sound is very muted using the Line in, although normal CDs/MiniDiscs play fine.
