Title: Starfields in Paint Shop Pro 7
Post by: Solatar on December 01, 2002, 09:38:01 pm
I'm trying to do some stuff in Paintshop Pro 7 and I want to know how to make a good starfield without using the paintbrush and randomly putting in white dots. Anybody know?

I figured out that if you make a really undense noise filter, then make it grayscale, then copy>paste it onto a new image it looks good. Put the nebulas in first, then put in the starfield, then the planets and suns, then the ships.

Nebulas first? Kinda strange to have stars overlapping nebulas. Unless the nebula is like reaaly far away all the stars are behind the nebula. So stars first.

*Laughs at PSP*
*Offers sympathy to Hades and others in his situation*
*Looks lovingly at Corel PhotoPaint's stupendous fractal fill generator*

Flaming Pear Kicks Ass! (Though I still somewhat maintain that people who use Lunarcell are fags)

For example (http://www.fattonys.com/images/steak.jpg)

Flaming pear is cool
Lunarcell is gay

Flaming Pear makes Lunarcell

:wtf:

Lunarcell has its uses... Glitterato is the best though

EDIT:  an0n, what did you use to make that planet/moon in your 'setekh card'?  it's good!

I never said Lunarcell was gay. I said the people who use Lunarcell are gay.

Thus, all Flaming Pear products kick ass. People who use them to save time or out of boredom (moi) are okay, but people who use them (this applies almost solely to Lunarcell) because it's the only way they can do that kind of stuff are gay.

Now you have to explain why this condition applies only to Lunarcell, and not every other labor-saving piece of software on the planet.

If you cannot explain this... well then, you're gay!
