I decided to finally read some 3D Studio MAX 5 tutorials. And now I kick myself for not doing that sooner.
Made from one block, I give you my test fighter. All made from a single shape, formed using extrude, some vertex manipulation, and msmooth folled by mesh smooth.
I think I'll start working one some models for my campaign now. (yes I know, Truespace, but at least I can design them)

whoops..

There we go

First try? Impressive. save I can't see the back, need brighter lighting and I don't want to turn up my gammas :p
*note to self: learn to model*

Well not my first try at modeling, but my first try using much better techniques. :D

Cool! :nod::yes:
It looks really good

Very cool looking fighter! I like the design. The glows on the fighter are great too.
Maybe you should start doing capital ships now.:)

That's next after I get some of these concept fighters done for Alternate Paths (no those fighters aren't from there). :D
