Done mostly with procedural gradiants linked to the bump channel.
the long "lake" towards the south-west is valles merineris.

Looks good, I like the way the greenery fades into the old red landscape... but, I think you have the specularity turned up a little high on it... that light looks a little too focused... other than that, :D good job!
-
a bit more atmosphere around it would be good ;)
Looks great so far thou

Yeah, the ocean should not shine like that. But other than that, pretty neat.
-
I think the water is a bit too deep,
remember, the pacific ocean does not go all the way up the grand canyon.
-
but on the other hand, we don't know how much water is actually on mars.
-
Excellent picture.

Too deep as in it looks to dark blue in the land areas or what?
I think it's nice personally save the light as forementioned.

Add a pair of procedurals on the bump channel. Make the first one choppy on the large scale, with about a 40% layer opacity and the second one choppy on the small scale, also with a 40% layer opacity. That will give you a fairly nice ocean surface that glints realistically. :D

 That is sweet. Very nice.
That light area underneath the green really stands out. It was the first thing that I focused on.
-
looks too much like Earth.... or wait.... maybe its supposed to be like that...
Good pic
-
Cool! When can we go there and play? :D
-
So do you wanna tone down that lighting?
It'd be great to use in game if the light in the center wasn't so focussed/bright
-
Wow! That is nice.
You know, if Humans really do succeed in terraforming Mars into that, it would be a beautiful world to live in.
I see one big patch of land where we can settle. Maybe if you rotate the planet a bit, we can see how much land to water ratio there is.
