Title: Model holes ingame
Post by: QXMX on July 08, 2001, 03:57:00 pm
When I use the Vesta ingame, there are some holes in it.  You can see, shoot, and fly right through it.

Anyone know what causes this?

Is the model triangulated?

You can get some missing / flythrough secitons if the face is 'warped', due to bad UV projection there.  That's why i always triangulated my models.

Or maybe you have flipped normals - have yopu checked these (did you use Blender to create the model)?

You should ALWAYS triangulate your models. Triangulate them before applying your textures.

Triangulated models run slower.

I was just using the Arcadia entry to test it out.  There really is no table entry except for replacing "install01.pof" with "vesta.pof".

Sorry for the late replies, I haven't had internet for almost a week now  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)
