Title: How do you....

Add beam effects, ground, sky, or things like giant balls of light in Truespace v1.0?
Also, how do you actually texture something using an actual bitmap? All I can do is paint solid colors on (Or use the default materials in the library, but those are wiiiieeeerd)

Ok, got TS v2 now, so, how do I do all the things I said?

I'd really like to make an animation with it, with lasers and stuff. How?

give me the weekend and i'll write a step by step tut.
I spent over a year using only TS2 to render so i'm pretty used to it.

Do you have any of the models extracted and converted yet? cos if not i'll take you thru that procedure too.

Yea, I got the models all done, just need to texture them (which is done in truespace how?)

As for animating, I just thought of a really cool combat sequence, however, I can't figure out the cameras, how to slow dow the animation, etc.

TS2 is absolute hell for texturing. All the later versions will auto texture if it can find the bmps. Not TS2. Fighters only take a couple of secs but larger ships take hours (i face by face re-textured a sath!!!)

But like a said if you can wait till the week end i'll do a tut. (also you may want to pm me with your email addres asap cos i have a couple of files u might want, thrusters, beams etc.)

I bookmarked the site, I didn't realize Killmenow had so many renders... And Alexander keeps up just fine despite teh handful he flahes us (though we he keeps picking on the White Star is beyone me)

I look forward to any tut projects you got planned, as I can barely hit the render button, nevermind add effects...
