Shrike has a point I've been wanting to make for some time... making your forum a slightly darker shade of blue is not number one on anyones priority list. It makes no difference, it's a cute extra that I'd do away with if I had a chance. Don't glare at Shrike about it :nod:

About the forum colors.... I don't mind tweaking them ('specially since garish colors bug me to no end...), but I haven't figured out how to set them up from scratch yet. So, if you want a slightly darker shade of blue, PM me the hex and exactly what part you want changed, and I'll do it. Shrike has enough on his mind as it is - he can create the forums, I'll perfect 'em. ;)

forum colors are a style sheet, aren't they?
doesn't each forum have its own CSS which you just tweak?
... i know you know CSS Sandwich :D ;)
... i remember CobaltStarr telling me that a while ago, which is why under PROFILE--> OPTIONS, you can select which color scheme you want to view the forums in...

All requests for FTP access must come from the project lead and must be emailed to [email protected]. I will then contact the people in question, get the relevant details from them and then contact Gamespy.
For the moment, if anyone wants access for multiple projects, we ask that you choose the most important project to get FTP access for. This is because some people have found that they can access all the hosted folders and we're trying to avoid having more of this. So hold on for the time being.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I would like to change the forum description for The Procyon Insurgency as given on the project census thing a few months ago. Here is what I want it changed to:
A former GTVA fleet admiral has gone rogue and instigated an uprising in the Procyon system, but is it just another political revolt or something greater?

Can I please have FTP access to Reciprocity? I asked Shrike a week or so back, and he said to email him, but he never got back to me so I'm assuming he's busy or whatever... It's quite important, cos I need stuff testing by the staff and my server's gone on the blink :(

If Shrike hasn't gotten to it yet and it's urgent, I would suggest using the file attaching feature vBulleting allows you to do with its posts (max 2MB). Can you survive on that for now?

No, cos I'm not allowed to use attatchments and the file is nearly four MB :nod:
Sesq says he can host for me (if he can atually get to the file in the first place), but I'm looking at that more as a temporary solution.
It's all Aldo's fault, buggering off just when things were getting interesting at my end :D

I trust you, so I've given you moderator status in the Reciprocity internal. Can you use attachments now? And, could you possible split up those files? (I'm hoping and praying that they're archives and you can attach them in seperate posts.)

When I've tried to upload SCP builds using attachments, I always run into "The server has encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later." Not a browser error - the page was generated by the forum. This is rather odd, since, zipped, they're only about 1 MB.

Ahhh, that's a bummer. :( I think we're having a few troubles with the vBulletin which Styxx and Shrike are aware of - but we're holding off upgrading (to a new vB version, we're at 2.2.6 right now) because a major update is coming soon. :o

Pass is 'hlprules'. Put a file called index.htm in the root dir (can be anything, just needs to be there) and upload to there. Tripod was having a few troubles when I was signing up... cross your fingers and it ought to work. :)

If someone in your project does not have access to internal forums, be sure to let us know - we don't keep track of who has needs access and who has gotten it. If you haven't told us there's a problem, we won't act on it.

Same here. Me (and other interviewers) have waited about two weeks or something. I furst understood it wrong and did what Steak asked me to but later sent all the information you need. Still no reply.
