I haven't put the turrets in yet, but they will blend with their background

Sweeeet.

I'm assuming the textures look more detailed up close- it is some 15-20K high, after all.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) Can't wait to see it in game- in the meantime, have fun with all those turrets.

I just tested her in game.. she had texture 'pulling' problems.. looked at her poly count.. holy ****  only ~650 polys.. quad divide  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) should have fixed that.. im doing communications and sensor arrays now

The model is very nice, but the textures look pretty cartooney. A bit too bright for my tastes.

WTF?! How are those textures "Cartoony" Those are the textures from the Babylon 5 station

I think it isn't so much the colours, but the contrast between the colours that makes it look brighter than it actually is  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Very big! But the textures look a bit fake.

Is it me or does it resemble a Starbase from Star Trek?

yup

It's the "big mushroomish" look that the Star Base in ST has.

Alright guys calm down. Now what if we do this two ways. Kazan can keep that texture if he likes. We can also make an alternate texture too! We just need someone who will do it.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

BTW that is a cool MOD I wonder if that would act as a docking station for the Apocalypse. OMG I JUST GOT THE COOLEST IDEA!!! I'll tell you guys all about it when you (points at Kazan) release it. Oh and are those giant sails where the fighters take off? Or the solar collectors?
