Detecting unusal readings, a soverign and defiant class starships investigate the local black hole. They are astonished when a strange vessel appears from within the event horizon. Introducing The DarkStar... (It only works in Fred, the other two are fine)...

[Edit]: I ported the models and fixed small probs with texts (they are from KA) The back ground pic is from Sci-Fi.com So if you have a problem with the "Black Hole" Then that is your right, but an artist can interpret things differently AND I thought *Hey, that's a ficken cool a$$ed Black hole. Need to get this in FS2!!!*

sorry man but what the hell is with the freaky lighting a black hole sucks light in hence it should be darkish
-
the black hole itself is black. look at the center of the accretion disk.

what... the...
hell?.....
:wtf:

A black hole would not look like that.
You made that by pasting things into your graphics program (Photoshop or PSP or whatever you use), didn't you?
-
Ouch... the light... It burns.

Alright lads, get the fixed bayonets off the flame-throwers. Its a good concept SD, but I have to admit it could do with work.
First, the background is too low-res - its just... eugh. Sorry, but it is. Secondly, your ships have some very odd lighting and could do with higher-quality rendering options.
Also, you're the artist so its your choice whether to make a proper black hole or not, if not just make up some vague sci-fi-babble explanation why its not black.
Like I said, nice concept, but needs some work on the actual visualisation.

I am NOT the artist, I just wanted to show off the 2/3 ships I got into FS2 and I really liked that interpretation of the B.H. (it almost is exacly what I'm looking for for...) Anyway This is just a stepping stone... I'll probably NOT post another until I learn effects. But yeah to me I really liked how it came out so it's going into my fave folder archive :)
