One-upping the sword people.

Sniper rifle- sort of a long-range subautomatic equivalent of an AK-74.

The sight's a dioptic rangefinder- you get a double image out of it. You twist the knob, the mirrors adjust for the proper distance, giving you a clear image, and the sight moves up or down to compensate for the bullet's eventual fall, as dictated by the laws of physics. Boosts range indefinitely. It's a design adapted from that which certain cameras' focus mechanisms are based on.

Sick
I must say, I have nothing bad to say other than.... The textures of the main body look kinda funky with the wood stock. It looks like stone with wood growing out of it. Maybe a more mettalic, polished look is in order. Other wise.. keep your pants away from my eye.

There's a party in my pants, and you're invited.
Ah, a nice open empty venue in which to throw down. :D
Oh, and nice model. The metal texture is a bit on the worn and rough side though.

a gun isn't a ship, it doesn't have a "main body"
just kidding ;)

can i fly it ? :D

Yeah, I thought the metal tex was a bit iffy. I was going for a camo look, and missed it- though that IS a metal texture.

You can have too many targets, but you can never have too much ammo. :D

If you're referring to mine, it's a bit thick because it's packed a special way, and because, as a gun of the future, it's got friggin' huge bullets. .60-cal explosive-tip, for those near misses.:D

Party in someone's pants, eh?
*lets ferrets loose*

 what's it for? taking out tanks?!

Actually, there's probably an AP bullet for that. But yeah- cars, trucks, soldiers (and armored ones), attacking bunkers, shooting down low-flying cruisers on bombardment, stuff like that. Tanks, as they'd probably have an improved armor at that point in the future when the recoil from this sort of thing wouldn't take your arm off (much less **** up your aim), would more be the domain of some of the heavier guns, mobile emplacements, stuff like that. Someday, I'll finish my Big Gun- big, black heavy machine gun, the sort usually mounted on the backs of big trucks, with some hoverplates welded on the bottom and some handles so you can carry it around like a bullpup.:D

Could make some use of that from time to time! :drevil:
