I have an idea for a mod, which is truly multinational, no more of the American dominance in the GTVA. I intend to make GTVA pilots multinational, and put the vioce inot the main game, nothing complex. A bit like the barney wingmen mod.
For this reason, I want people with strong accents for voice acting.
Post samples of you reading this:
"At the centre of the galaxy, a vast, unknown civilisation is preparing for an event of epic proportions, the launch of the greatest, most gorgeaus, most technologically advance starship ever built."
Thankyou.

I have a question, why is it we all have British accents when we're from outer space and there's no Britain?

I've never understood why rap and hip-hop groups need to put deliberate misspellings in their names. But then, I've never understood rap or hip-hop...

But I don't care because it's highly unlikely that Snoop Dog and I will ever cross paths in my lifetime.

Another person who runs by the thinking of "You don't talk like me, so you must be inferior"
It's called language, and dialect, and accents. When you understand how languages evolve, you'll see the light.

Anyway to get the topic back somewhere resembling the original one. I`d help but I speak in an english accent and I can`t do any others.
It's a good idea though and one I wanted for my campaign as well.

I don't think they're inferior, I know perfectly intelligent people that do it. It's just that it's quite a lazy thing to do, it's not like it takes a lot of effort to type normal words.
Just a pet peeve really.
Ebonics just, baffles me, it's not that I don't understand it, its just that I don't see why people like to make themselves sound so silly. I guess.

You say something about being lazy? Why don't you type out all them words? ;) It's not being lazy, it's a dialect and a language.
And they don't sound silly to themselves. In the same way like British people sound a bit funny to me because of phrases they use. Doesn't mean I think the language is stupid or something.

It's not any easier to type words like that, so it's not like it's lazy, it's what I'd call "conversational" English. I treat forums as casual places so I type in the same manner as I'd speak for the most part. It sounds better to read and less formal in my opinion.
But that's just me :)
British people sound funny, not silly, a fundamental difference there, though an ebonics spewing Englishman is hillariously silly. Trust me.

In response to the first few replies. I didn't mean just British accents, but german, French, Russian, Indian, Australian, Spanish and so on. Like Starlancer.
anyway, sod the mod. lets just here some accents people can do.
I can do a few myself, particulalry a russian one. I'd post an example but for lack of hosting.
-
For some reason I can do quite a perfect Finnish accent :D
(But if you'd like me to do some voices, I dunno... I have quite a lot of things to do allready.
How many lines would I have to do... for example...)
