Well, I've been looking all over for this bloody game, but have not been able to find it. Is there anywhere to get Freespace 2 other than paying over $50 for a used copy on ebay?
-
Pay 60 pounds for a new one.
naw, it's not in production anymore, so your best bet is google search, amazon, or ebay.
Oh, by the way, welcome to the community.
flamethrowers are under the seats, exits are in the sides and back. Don't mind the Big shivan in front, that's just our bouncer, carl. His favorite meal is n00b-burgers, but he only likes the ones that ask about FS3 (a no no) so as long as you go by that rule, you'll be fine. And seeing as how you haven't played FS2... you don't need to worry :)
Enjoy your stay.

Make a friend here. They can legally give you a copy.

Fire Control, warm up the Welcome Beam... and FI-- Oh wait, he hasn't played FS2, so a beam weapon would be meaningless to him. Fire Control, power down the Welcome Beam...
-
Fire up the Welcome Megafunk Turret!
-
My Logic exactly ses :D
We should make a Megafunk welcome.. or maybe a Shivan Mega Laser.
-
Ahh here it is "DUCK!"

Whoa.. deja vu...
you realize you just quoted what KT said, right?
-
Well, I finally managed to find the bloody thing. Cost me 49$ on ebay, but is supposedly new and factory wrapped (I don't like used things).
-
I only paid $20 for my copy of fs2. But I got it about six months ago at my local Electronics Boutique.
-
I paid full price for mine, I think... no wait... about the equivalence of $20. a year ago.
-
Mine was in the bargain bin. Last one. only 5 Euros.
I now, I should destroy the place for insulting FS like that. :nervous:
-
Well worth any price :)
Its a shame all of these people didn't know about the game because of bad advertising by Interplay when it was originally released.
Another gripe is that they still make Descent: FreeSpace and you can order it online but you can't get FreeSpace 2.
*shakes head in amazement*

I got FS1 and 2 in one box (DVD box) last July (2001) on the White Label budget release for £10 from GAME. :D
-
I got it the day it was released, so I paid the full $50. :( Well worth it, though. :D
-
i'm getting (ordered it in a bookstore, waiting for them to call it's there) both games as a withe label for €18,- or something, i used a r.. uh LEGAL copy for now, but i realy wanted both games legally and complete.

Originally I wanted to get FS1 (after trying out Freespace: Darkness Rising), but I couldn't find it and they had FS2 instead.
Odd.

Go to target. They use FS as toilet paper.
