I've actually got a feeling some of this stuff was in the last one, but nevermind. Most notable thing is an scn file for a big freighter (the missing texture is simple an AWACtile with a logo on it), which is pretty much complete bar a set of destroyed sub-objects for LOD1 (and which you wouldn't really need, anyways). Plus a partially mapped fighter, and a few bits and bobs. Mostly in MAX format;

Aldo you did it again!
I swooned when I say that "carrier" I said to myself,
"Self...:lol: That would be perfect for The WhiteBase - for Gundam" I spent all morning texturing it to get it to look as close as possible to the original and saved it to .cob, but then PCS pof.ed it but when tried to save the POF it crashed. I looked at teh pof it made with modelview and it says "block exceeded end of file" what does that mean? I hvae like 5 or 6 other conversions that say that... can I do anything?
[EDIT] Damn, I thought I figured it out cause I saved it as a .3DS mesh and that reduced the file size byhalf! So I retextured it (easier cause teh name a made stayed. but still same error.
"Block Exceeded end of file"... :( anyway here's a pic of the carrier (White Base) , The Shadow Star, and The USS Prometheus as they make an emergency ascent... Why? I dunno I just felt like it.

I couldn't even get the file to save with the textures.... Plus the pof crashes on save... How DID you do that? :lol:

I used erinyes2.scn for that one, only took a few minutes.

I really like the color scheme for E2...
Woo do you think you could take a look at teh carrier? I got some peeps looking at it, but if you aren't too busy (yeah like something that starts with I :rolleyes: ) :lol:
Gundam TC really needs WB cause it's a critical ship... OK so maybe my color scheme isn't the greatest. Main thing is the main hatch HAS to be big enough for 5 fighters on top of one another to fly through easily. That's about the size the Mecha are gonna be.
This request also goes out to anyone who has time/inclination...

Which carrier? if you mean carrier.scn I already have the first 2 lods ready.

I would of had it done already as well as another fighter, but lots of people started talking too me and I couldn't concentrate on them. I'll have them done tommorow :D

I forgot it wasn't .carrier cause I deleted it after saving textured cob. The file is GTD Saturn. An awesome looking carrier (se the pic 2 of my posts above)...

That white fighter looks like a cross between an Erinyes and an Artemis... :wtf:

Thank Aldo more than me, it's his fine model and map, I just put it into FS2.
The fighter just needs interface art now and I've converted the GTD Saturn (though I had to use POF CS to do it)
It'll still be a while before release them, but I'll try to speed things up :)

I tried to convert it and the pof crashed... Do I need to convert to Sangaria? *Looks for chickens*

If I counted the FS2 models I've converted, there would be at least 100 of them :D

Why does PCS crash when trying to save a model it successfully converted?????

Been there, done that.
THe block error is a result of the save that pcs makes just b4 it crashes - its basically f*king up the file. Why it crashes after saving once already is a mystery to me though.

Well I got the sov shielded (working on Defiant now). I spent all morning putting 2 sets of primarys for Sov to fire Phtons and Quantoms and Nutron Beams (For a test)... I made 4 quantom ports and 6 photons. I made the shielded cap table a fighter and it lost teh shield effct those I restored the values/ color hit points, I think it's a hud thing. anyway it was hostile and tried to attack me but wouldn't fire??? Did I make too many ports? It showed 2 primary banks in fred and I made #1 Photons and #2 quantoms, for a total of 10 firing points.... It has no turrents and noting to mount them on so I gae upon that (last time I tried to make turrents on object 0 it failed... So what am I doing wrong? Oh yeah this is what the movie looked like last night (minus the Veritech) ;)

If you really want to know;
- Erinyes 2 - didn't like the UV or the map (badly scaled bits in particualr, too underdetailed, a bit messy)
- GTD Saturn - redundant model originally intended for a Sol destroyer, also textured in TS (not Max) so LODing would be tough
- Bulk Freighter - couldn't be bothered making the LOD1 destroyed objects, also sick of fiddling with trying to design the docking cargo pod
- Ulysses 2/Switchblade - Bad (squidgy) UV on the underside of the wings
- Shivan 'eaterworm' frigate (not jug) - pain to turret, also decided against the thing I was making it for
- Shivan AWACs - looked crap (both of 'em)
- TVWarCarrier - hideously ugly - the concept never worked out right
- Saggiatrius - design was redone
- blockadeRunner - made a better model
- gvCarrier - 'ditto'
- Claymore3 - old model.
- Menhit / that other Vasudan fighter - didn;t like the model (Menhit map was crap BTW)
- GTD Valiant - used alternate design (vastly different). Was far too underdetailed for the polycount.
- Pirate bulk freighter - Ugh.
