Title: Intoducing the SOD Segomo

(the last of the 'Third Generation' SOC taskforce ships)

-3km long
- 39 turrets, inc 11 beam turrets (many weaker Slash ones)
- 75 fighters on-board
-  Orion sucessor, able to hold it's own against a Ravans - depending on firing angles.

(~1500 polys, took only 2-3 days to make, only needs path data now.)

Apologies for the darkness of the piccies - it is a dark ship, but it seems that they are a bit dull even considering that

Looks great, love the design too!

I have one comment though:

I think the hanger on the front has a bit too much of a "shivan" ambiance. It's red in it, and the way its textured just gives the shivan feel.. and the ship isn't shivan  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

Other than that its great  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

I agree on the hanger bit.  I've always thought of hangers like that should be brightly lit with a light blue or something.  Personal prefernce of course.

The skin could be lightened up a bit, the grey especially, but that's not that big of a deal.

I know there is a method, but all I see is madness.

Well, i say the Omega station for the B5 mod, and i liked the design for the hanger on that...  I think red lighting is a nice contrast compared the outside, IMO.

*cough* Omega Destroyer, Orion station */cough*

But they have similar hangars so it doesn't REALLY matter  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Wow... Cool.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Though I think I wouldn't mind a light blue hangar either.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
