Well I successfully transferred the photon Torpedo so now that;s outta the way (pic below). The Quantoms however I am NOT happy with. ALso I got an idea for a cool explosion animation for the quantoms BUT whe I edited the explosion table and put the ani in effects there was no exlosion.? Does the LOD number mean anything? I'll try renaming it expmisl-x1(whatever forgot the name) for a test to see what's up)... Anyway here's the torpedo... what do you think?

The quantom (for now) looks like this BUT is white and a little fuzzy... :( L8tr!!!
[Edit] Please remember I have no editing programs like photoshop or whatever, these are just straig up conversions (that's my skill level).. (and no FTP access, I requested 4 times so stop bugging me!)

i think the spikes should be sharper, if you know what i mean. it also should be less blurry. but otherwise,looking good!

30 day PSP 7 trial - It dies after that, but there's no reason you can't redownload it :).

Actually it lasts 60 days, as you are given a 30 day "grace period". I have it on a PCG coverdisk, and just reinstall it every two months.:D
But there are other ways.

Okay nuff of that silliness! I settled for the quantoms as they are. Here's a test to see if the USS Galaxy would fire the Photons (Red) as a Secondary weapon though it's in the primary listing in the table.
BTW - Did the Ent-D EVER have Quantoms late in show or was that toy just for Defiant and Soverign???
I'll keep the Sreds for now as phasers but also keep Grey Wolf's pulse phasers for Defiant... In a while I'll start trying to mount the torps and phasers on the Defiant and Soverign :nod:

IS it BIG enough or should I make them a little bigger? Also aren't Quantoms bigger than photons???

D never had Quantums.. they weren't first shown until FC IIRC. Then they put them on the Defiant (I could have this backwards) but they mounted them on most ships after that period I beleive..
and All I see is antoher shot of the photons.. In FC the Quantums were rounder IIRC but weren't noticably bigger. Also note they are Greenish white.. kinda the color of this guy > :D

As far as I know, the only ships that can mount and fire Quantum torpedos are the Sovereign-Class, the Akira-Class, and the Defiant-Class.
(Bought Star Trek: Bridge Commander for Christmas);7
Galaxy-Class, and their sisters, the Nebula-Class, are not able to handle them.

But according to SFC3 you can mount them on ANY ship.

Mirak? Hydrans? Lyrans?
Plasma torps? Missiles?

well I think they can be mounted on any ship that has a torpedo launcher but they are standard on the Defiant, Sovereign, and Akira.

Yes, it does depend on where you get your infomation doesn't it?
Some people say one thing, others say another.
Do what you want, and when/if you release this setup, people can (and will) make minor changes as they see fit.
Remember, it's your mod, your version, do what you will.

Meh. Mine lasted at least 200 days without needing any "other ways". Don't know why it did that. Then it stopped working and won't do it again for more than 60.
Anyways, I read somewhere that quantoms were reserved for high ranking ship commanders. Good work on the torps too. :D

The Alternate mirror universe Terran Empire Cobra fighters mount quantum torps... they launch 200 fighters and target 1 cap ship at a time and let them rip! Then the soulwolf's and Wraiths de-phase cloak and let loose with the type 3/4 Phase Lances! IF they are feeling particularly nasty they find your homeworld and Genesis torpedo it! Hey New Fed Class M world with Terran friendly/familiar ecology - Nice...

BTW... I'm having a big problem... I got all these pof's made but when testing them they crash after 3 - 5 mins of combat (I'm using them for table testing to get them to fire fighter weapons (it works cause all torps are primaries for fighters) cause they have no turrents. I had to mount fire points manualy as guns. they have no otehr systems like paths and whatnot so I am thinking that the game is lckinh up cause when normal ships attack they have to path to attack it or the pof is trying to react but has no paths to follow... strange combat. I can't get them to fire other weapons, but the torps work?... Gonna try getting rid of 4 or 5 sips in table to lighten load (I got 187 but never was a problem last few months)
