Post by: LtNarol on December 15, 2002, 02:32:54 pm
Some of the goodies to be released in Exposition (no, not the missiles ;)).  You can click on images with a grid background to see a larger version.  Enjoy.

First pic: That nose looks a bit pointy dont you think?
Second pic: Cockpit too big.
Otherwise pretty good.
Dont take it personally, I point out flaws in other peoples work just as much. ;)

What's with the truck and the ship with the big propellers?
Otherwise, everything else is great!

A bit too pointy, yes.

Second pic: Cockpit too big.

Yes, it kinda looks like a gunboat rather then a fighter.

But still very good :D.

As for the fans and the truck, well, Exposition will take place largely in atmosphere, and thus all the ships must be atmosphere capable :D

That truck model just rules. :D

Also, is that long flat area on the Evangelist a fighter runway?

about the second pic, it is a flyable ship, yes?

indeed it is

as for the Acheron, the fans rotate but its not available to the player in the campaign missions; in multiplayer it is available however things dont rotate in multiplayer except for the host anyway so there :D

Is it me, or is this just a backwards N1 Starfighter (give or take)?

The Lethe (that pointy fighter) was originally inspired by the Arwing of StarFox, coupled with my twisted ways of thinking and designing.

The Genesis Space Mine (the double canister) is a 2 stage remote-detonation mine, very effective against smaller cruisers and a superb ambush weapon in asteriod fields; the key of course is to clear the blast radius as soon as you possibly can so that you aren't taken down with the rest ;)

The Lethe will make its debut in 'Exposition', the Genesis in 'Light'.
