PST is -8:00 GMT, you lazy bum. Brasil is -3:00, you slothful wreck. Double-click the time in the Windows taskbar for any timezone you could ever dream of, you incompetent newb.

On the computer I'm working on now, that would probably take close to fifteen minutes or something. And I got an answer pretty fast this way.

Damnit all times should be in GMT! How? 'Cos How!:p

Why is that HLP has the time in GMT but the date in American format (i.e mm/dd/yyyy rather than dd/mm/yyyy)?

She's nice - but I hope she makes a good Terminator.. it looks like it's running the risk of trying to make her like Trinity and copy some of the Matrix.

Not that that's a bad thing, but T/T2 had qualities of their own that made them good. They don't need other stuff. The trailer looks great though, lots of developing tech and stuff... yay!

don't worry, she won't have more than 3 lines in the movie, so even trinity talked more :p
But she's nowhere near a s scary as Robert Patrick :doubt: And how can they do better than liquid metal? I've juste checked the trailer, now I should look at the site itself...

during the previews (before LOTR EP2 last night) they showed like 7 trailers, but the audience only applauded and was quiet the whole time for two trailers:
1) Terminator 3
2) Xmen 2

well usually they only cheer at three critical points in the movie:

1) when the lights dim and the movie actually starts
2) the 'highlight' of the movie (somewhere in the Helms Deep battle)
3) the end of the movie

this time they cheered during the TRAILER, can you believe it ;)

i'm not talking about movies in general, but for the first showing, at 12:01 AM wednesday morning, people have been waiting in line/sitting down since 4:00 that afternoon (an 8 hour weight), so when the lights finally dim, and the trailers are over and it says "Lord of the Rings" on the screen, everyone starts clapping/applauding...

After thinking awhile, I think the Terminator series is a bit dumb.

If you wanted to kill John Conner and a shape shifting Terminator cannot do the job, why don't the machines of the future just send in an army of that flying hunter killers and just blow the whole town where John Conner is to hell? Solves the problem real quick if subtle is not your cup of tea.:D

If I recal corectly, something about the time travle technology requires that the thing that is sent back is
a: small
b: mostly alive,  cyborgs are good enough

what I don't get is how the suposedly weak human resistance is able to find out that skynet is about to launch something and then is able to sneak into the time machine and use it :wtf:

anyway, have any of you seen a similarity between the terminator serese and the Matrix
posability of the two coexisting

On the "Matrix Terminator tm" concept, perhaps the Terminator future happens prior to the Matrix/Skynet requiring humans as a source of power? As Reece told whats her face about the future in T1 he said something about the humans first being enslaved and numbered as cattle, then used as slave labor and what not. Perhaps allready then the Matrix/Skynet was figuring out someway to use people as an alternate source of energy. Then when the humans began they're revolution, this disrupted the Matrix/Skynet's plan for a little while. Thus begins the Terminator movie series. But in the end, the humans lose, Connor I suppose bites the dust, and as a last resort, they torch the sky and head underground... With whatever humans are left, the Matrix/Skynet gathers them up and plugs them into itself for power...

:nervous: Yeah.....

it just seems very similar, not that I would actualy want to see the two to be made into the same movie, but it seems like the matrix has a lot of similar concepts and designs and seems like it could be a hundred years in to the future,
it seems like the terminater future seems a lot like the history of the matrix, I'm sure the machines wouldn't totaly kill all humans, simply due to the fact that they may have some use eventualy
Title: SkyNet CommLink: Priority Alert!
Post by: Dark_4ce on December 21, 2002, 04:31:54 pm
Yeah. Its all boils down to the "if you kill you're dad in the past, then you don't exists, thus would'nt be able to kill him in the first place..."

So the machines HAVE to go back in time to stop connor, cause that allows humans to create them. And they MUST allow the humans in the future to revolt so that they could send the terminator back in time in the first place. So they can't wipe out all the humans, cause theres that COSMIC BOND connecting the two. Like in the Matrix. Humans are bound to the Matrix. EEerie...

Matrix and Terminator? Get out of here...

Now, Robocop vs Terminator, that was a good idea. The story goes that when Skynet rose to power, it recognised Robocop as a threat, and dissasembled him but kept his personality stored on a computer (**** knows what for). Eventually, Robocop was able to take control of the local computer systems and build himself a new body in the Skynet factories. He entered the new body and started to fight back against Skynet's Terminators... now that'd make a kick-ass film

:wtf: robocop has brains, you can't srore his personality in a computer. plus he's no match for a terminator anyway.

You know what I would like to see? A Terminator movie set in the apocolyptic future where John Conner is already the leader of the Human Resistance and its the final showdown with the Terminators!!! All this time travelling to protect his younger self is tiresome.

well, if they had sucseeded in there atempts to kill Conor then they wouldn't have gone into the past to kill him, becase he never made him selfe into a problem, so he would have survived so he would have made himself a problem for skynet, and it would have gone into the past to kill him and.....

Yeah, I saw the trailer. But all I saw was a couple of terminators walking towards the screen with a Hunter/killer floating in the back... What I REALLY want is "The Two Towers" sorta battle!! Hmm, I dunno. After watching the Two Towers, I watched the trailer, and basically everything I saw after TT paled in comparison. :D But I'm pritty sure there'll be some tidbits of action in the future...

....and the end scene?? You have a numer of "naked" T-300 (or whatever number they were) looking as if they were just itching for a battle. :D
