Title: New stations?

I was poking my nose at the 'terran installations' thread and got the idea for some new models.

My only problem is I prefer to use 3ds max, but my trail of 3d exploration/explorer is out of date.  So I can't convert things either way.

So, basically would any other modders out there care to handle the rough stuff?

My idea is a series of 'stations' made from derilicted or modified cruisers corvettes and destroyers.
I'm thinking of two differet leviathans, and three fenris cruiser stations.  Two orion stations, one of the old vasudan destroyer, and maybe a deimos set.

The models would be strung out over time so as not to flood anyone, but if anyone out there wants to do it I'll give it a try.

Anyone?

I will be needing a Shivan space station that you can actually fly inside to destroy 3 genearators. It needs to be huge and have a very good defence on the outside. I was thinking of setting it up so you can blow upen doors to get inside. Was thinking maybe you could help me out on this? This is for Freespace 1 by the way.

Well, like I stated above, I could make the station, but who's going to finish it?

The pb isn't a true one coz  that it's false. In MAX, click "file", then "export", then save as a 3ds file et voila! TS can read 3ds files.

Venom, you're not quite on the same page, let me bring you up to date.

3DS Max is the ONLY functioning 3d modeling tool I have.*

That's why I didn't go ahead and make the models my self and simply ask for someone to convert it through for me.

If I could do that I'd redo everything and get new 3ds meshes of the capships.  The maps are really wrong on all the destroyers.

So unless anyone has a copy of truespace they want to send me, then I'm stuck with the original question above.
And truespace 1.0 doesn't handle 3ds meshes.

hem, sorry.
Anyway, TS 1.0 does handle 3ds files, since it's the one I have  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) (TS1)

Well what do you know, the piece of crap does work.

Now to get turrets to glue properly in the hierarchy.
