Ok guys, during my absence, i have been learning truespace. There is a problem, a most amusing problem. I get the ship done, then when i turn it into a POF, the ships comes out sideways. actually it is turned 90 degrees to the left. you guessed it, the right side becomes the front. What am i doing wrong? Is it truespace, Lithunwrap. or POF problem?
Any help would be apreciated.
Thanks guys.

because your modeler is aligned differently with Truspace. (i.e: forward for one equals sideways to the other)
What prog are you using to model?
I know for Milkshape 3D you have to rotate it on it's side and facing sideways.
-
i am using truespace to model them.
-
from top view, models in truespace must be facing left. it's that stup... simple.
-
ok so front needs to be left? it can't be that stup.....simple. lol, if that's all it is then thanks.
-
that got it, thanks

well, when you're in front of that kind of pb, the solution doesn't always comes to mind that easily, first of all because it can be very frustrating.
you're welcome ShadowWolf.

When I did my conversions I DON"T have a modling program (useable) so even when I oriented it to the left and saved the Defiant and Sov they end up in game pointing STRAIGHT UP! You have to orient them in fred but that's not that big a deal...:nervous: Right?
BTW Good to see you back ShadowWOlf! Are you just visiting or are you back for awhile?
-
well, if they're pointing straight up, they'll move in the wrong direction. give it a way-point and watch it in-game :D
-
Now, that's comedy!

just lookin in on you guys once in a while. i'm hoping to be home soon, maybe then i can get back to serious work. just up in the air right now.

Yes because modelling is so simple, and how dare someone waste community time with such a little question. :wtf:

i've always thought that if reading something was a waste of time, responding to it was an even bigger one. On the other hand, i pretty much just ignore flaming.
