Title: Coupla Texturing Questions
Post by: Anaz on September 20, 2001, 07:59:00 am
Ok, I have one big question about texturing. I have made a map in Lithunwrap, it works fine in lithunwrap, I save it to a cob file, and when I open it again, BOOM! Textures are all out of place. Somebody help me please!!! I don't want to have to individually line up faces!!

Yeah, I was wondering how to work Lithunwrap as well... I was going to map some fighters for Ace, but I couldn't get the maps right, and I didn't want to go through the process of UVW mapping them in MAX.  It's a lot harder if you didn't make the model or the textures, as you don't know exactly what goes where.

Save it as 3ds format, and convert with 3d Exploration (note, you'll still need to apply the texture).  Later versions of Ts can import 3ds directly as well.
I used to use Lith, but I now prefer UVWrapper as I can use a texture map for each face/plane of the ship, and shift overlapping faces.
