As far as I know, this isn't a problem for ppl using versions older than 2.81.  (*pats copy of 2.68 burned to CD*)

Too bulky. It's got a lot of extra features I don't want or need, and the plugins I have for Winamp 2 are all that I need.

I like having free memory for multitasking. I mean, with winamp3, I couldn't use Lightwave and listen to music at the same time.
wa3 is teh memory hog.

Because it sucks? ;)

Seriously, its too much of a memory hog for my tastes and its added features don't appeal to me.

I don't use WinAmp3 because it doesn't have the 'stop after current' option, and those freeform skins just scare me...

Had to check it out (hosting a memory hog is always such a disturbing idea :ick  ) ..According to Sandra:

MediaPlayer 6.4  4.9MB
Winamp 2.81      5.5MB
Winamp 3.0c      13.5MB

..not unbearable, but kind of much just to play some MP3s.

Winamp 2.68 eats up 4.8MB of RAM, and thats with a decent skin applied and playing a song.

Yea, the results i first posted weren't right (used a different song for each player). Just edited it (RAM usage on idle/maximized... Now Winamp3 really looks a bit bad in that respect..)
