Title: Comparison of Broadband Providers.
Post by: Petrarch of the VBB on December 20, 2002, 01:20:59 pm
Anyone know of any comparisons of the UK broadband suppliers? I really can't be bothered searching the web sites of each and every one. I was thinking about Telewest,as we already get cable TV from them, but its £25 a month, which is a bit steep. There must be somesort of comparison table out there.
Thanks.

Been on Blueyonder for two years and the service is faultless, they have superb tech support and the price is good for what you get, in fact, for an extra tenner a month you get 1m/b downstream connection (something like 150k/b per second). So definitely I'd recommend Blueyonder (Telewest)

NTL are supposed to be OK altough their technical support is so bad it should be considered non-existent.

around here it's about $40 for broadband. i don't know what that translates to in whatever looser currency you're using, but if it's close do a dollar than 25 is pretty cheap.

The Pound has more worth than the dollar :p

Most good deals are £30, below that, you either have to accept their cable TV deal etc or their service aint all that great.

I'm talking to you via NTL broadband - 25 squids a month for 512k, and the tech support has been OK for me so far... to be honest, there isn't much to complain about :)

Ermm, no. As I am 15, I didn't vote for anybody. But if I could, I wouldn't have voted anyway.

As the Somtaaw say in Cataclysm: "One ancient monster is as good as another."

I'd have voted BNP. If I'm gonna waste my vote. it might as well be in support of some extremist party in the hope that their increasing vote-count will scare Labour and the Tories to get off their asses.

Check out Zen DSL - they've got great support and a constantly stable service (had two downtimes in at least four months - and they were due to them not recieving our payment on time).

Maybe The Register (www.theregister.co.uk)'s ISP service could be of interest. :nervous:

I'm assuming that you know the BNP are racists and that your post was a 'joke'
