two days ago there's been a power shortage in my area, and seems my NTFS HD didn't like that, it's been messed up. with some shareware ( file scavenger ) I can "see" the files on the HD, so I know they're still there, but as it's a shareweare, it won't recover files bigger than 32kb... of course everything I have is on that HD ( oh, and the first one who talks about backing up 60GB worth of data better think twice before opening his mouth... ), so for now I'll focuss only on finding a solution, so I'm out for now.
I love microsoft and there crappy NTFS format even more today :doubt:

Sorry to see you go venom, i hope a solution to your problem presents itself far faster than the solutions to mine are.

Are you secretly working on TAP, venom? As HD failure seems to be a curse on we tappers.

Dunno if anybody cares :nervous: but I fixed my pb, got back all my data, and am very happy except I now have a 80Gb HD that I have no need for ( wouldn't be a pb if it wasn't so damn expensive ). well, cool thing is I haven't lost a single kb of data :eek2:

eh...so did you buy a second HD but the first one started working again? :wtf:
Anyway, it's good to hear that it is fixed.

Its like something turning up as soon as you've bought a replacement, hold on, there's a word for that.
Winkley (n.) Aything that turns up immediately you've gone out and bought a replacement for it.
