Aldos worm juggernaught now a Shivan Carrier.
It has 100 turrets, 2 lods and 2 debris.
Was converted using a modified modelview beta 5 that has upped conversion limits. (it uses cob2fs2 code)
My adapted modelview doesn't mind this ship though PCS crashed when I tried to do it's engine glows. I may have to wait untill the modelview path section is completed before I can finnish the ship.
And yes I did say 100 turrets :p

Neither Inferno for now.
Got the fighterbay paths done, even though PCS crashed on save. I'll start balancing it and doing further tests tommorow.

It has 12 anti-cap beams (currently all BFRed)
the other 88 are all anti-fighter weapons :D

Bah you guys don't know what power is, wait till you go head to head against the Vinaashak, Amritaya and Gigas. Now those ships are scary :D

Directed Capship assault and a wing of Jotuns should easily do it.

Bah the Hecate is a pile of scrap compared to the Apothess, Asarte and Boreas :D
But that's what the Jotuns would be for, they would go for the main turrets then the capships jump in and finnish it off.
Actually a single Notus should be able to take it down :D

I'll put lots of screenshots up of it as I'm going to do a few full battle tests with it. I want to make sure everything is ok with it since it was made in a cob converter that I edited the limits with, I want to make sure I didn't break it :D

If the Shivans have this kind of firepower on a comparably sizedcarrier, why are they still going round with the far weaker Sathanas as a main warship? I think it would be a bit more balanced with less powerful offensive armaments. :nervous:

because this ship can't blow up suns and if destroyed is a more serious blow to the Shivans because of the number of fighters on these things.

so it IS destroyable. it just takes 10 or 12 fleets down with it...:p

No wonder you killed the carrier, in a Juton you can kill almost all ships on your own:p

Well a Dreadnaught and Destroyer took its hull down to less than half. The Jotun ADVs standard bomb was doing 3-7% damage per hit.

The Jotun is a special case bomber, it isn't deployed untill the Gigas shows up as the Sabus can't carry big enough bombs. Only the best bomber pilots get to fly it, and it is only used against important large targets.

I was bored one day playing the last mission of the 1st chapter...so...I blew up the Gigas :D
It took like...10 minutes to completely finish blowing up!
Oh and Woo, the Gigas needs debris ;) and when it jumps in it should nuke the Nebtuu, cause...well...it just jumps in and sits there...OOOOOH! Run away from the big ass motionless Gigas!!
(sorry about the sarcasm...just my oppinion)

The Gigas does have debris. For some reason the lower lods and debris don't show in modelview, they show in pofview and in fred though so I know they are there.
The Gigas doesn't get the chance to destroy the nebtuu as it takes around 58 seconds before it will open fire and it jumps out before that.

well the staff should also have them files
and those who dont need to be change can be uploaded by them dont u think
well im not part of the staff but i could upload something at least those vp files u didnt change :)

The staff packs don't have the Shiamak, the new fighter animations, new cb animations, and when they're done fully pathed capships.
I don't update often as it takes too long to do :D

I never released it since it still has issues, like not being compatable with aurora or pcs. You also need to have the regular beta 5 for it to work.

So what? Shivans magicly don't need space for their fighters and pilots?
You have any idea just how much space fighters take? Their ammo? Spare parts? the Pilots? The flight crew? Not to mention thah more crew = bigger messshall, bigger food/cargo storrage etc..

I always find it amusing how people compare Terran ships to Shivan.

And, yeah...why not... Just coause they are Shivans the laws of physics don't applay to them?
I reckon they don't need everything terran ship need (like messhalls), but still... fighter and their crew take up a LOT of room. Not to mention that shivans are bigger than humans...!

Umm, well I do tend to alter ship weapon configs when I make missions, and it's very rare that I use beam-free-all for the most powerful warships. Inferno is not just a photon beam cannon light show, ya know. ^_^
