Title: pof -> cob conversion question...
Post by: Anaz on December 30, 2002, 09:34:39 pm
Ok, I d/led POF2COB, and it converts the lod just fine, but it doesn't save texture information. So, to hell with that, I thought. I load up PCS, the model in question here is the fenris/leviathan, save it as a cob. I open up TS, load the fenris, and then hit 'render'. It is only showing part of the textures, the rest is black. Then, on a whim, I load up another one of the textures, and just slap it on, i.e. do a texture fill. It shows up as all black. I make sure that all of the textures look right, and they do. Then I notice something. The only texture that it displayed on the model was the last texture (cruiser01-04a IIRC). This is rather annoying, because I want to make a freespace render. If anyone could give me any help as to how to get it to work, I would be very happy...

All of the other LODs seem to be fine. This is rather confusing...

Head back to POF2COB and make sure that the models and its textures are in the same folder. Or maybe you just have the wrong textures or something? :)

Everything works perfectly with POF2COB too. And I prefer it because PCS converts all the lods and lights and it's hell to make difference which is which
