Title: FRED q
Post by: fs2freak88 on December 31, 2002, 08:37:21 am
Hey,

I am trying to do communications now. I have tried reading the tutorial, and that did not help. I opened other missions and copied their exact SEXP and put it my message, but the message does not appear in the mission. What am I doing wrong?

what event is triggering the message?  if youi copied someone else's sexp  exactly and put it into your mission, it wouldn't work unless you had the same trigger.

try this :

create a message called.....it works, and just have it say....it works.

then create an event and change true to has time elapsed, and make the time 5.  The time is built in seconds.

if it doesn't work, send me a PM and i'll walk you step by step until we figure out what you are doing wrong.

:wtf:

Could you really not figure out messages from the help files? I must say, you're certainly persistent - judging by the number of help requests we've seen from you. I wish you luck when it comes to trying to track down the elusive and seemingly random bugs that plague the average FREDder...
