Oooh, FS1... haven't touched that in a while. Only played FS online once, though, sorry. ;)

I've played FS2 online. Haven't even got FS1.

Also, there were some people, but it's not good that you go there alone... and now that you tell more people to play it, some might, but I doubt that'd happen at the same time.

Never played FS1 online. I know it's kinda weird to say that but there's actually no point to multiplay it, with FS2 and all those other great games available... :doubt: :)

I would if the appeal was there but to be honest I'm really into Battlefield1942 at the moment. As in I typically play at least 3 matches a day. The game pwns...

How exactly do you pronounce 'pwn' anyhow?  ;)

Isn't that a little laggy on cable? Damn, I gotta get that game.

I'm on DSL so I'm not sure what it's like on a cable connection. That said I've only had one or two lagouts and connections problems from time to time and that was on the big 64 player servers when they were full...

Dude, try your best to get a copy of that somewhere, from a bargain basket, whatever - it's a great game. And then you can join the FS1 vs. FS2 debate ;)

Same!

And me, too (:p). I play BF 1942 like a mongorasl. I've gone so far to set my sister's laptop up with it, host a LAN game and set something heavy on her "W" key so I can practice my aim. :nervous:

It really is great.

I know what you mean (that's what I've got) although it only takes a shed-load of time to load, after that it's smooth and fun (untill some clown spawn camps).

Anyhow, I assume you are talking about BF1942 right? Hehe...

Yeah.. I turned all the graphics down (still looks good mind you) and settings to lowest, but I can't play much higher than medium difficulties on single player without it shuddering and groaning like hell.

I'm afraid to even try multiplay at this point :nervous:

What I'm really curious about is the etymology (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=etymology) of the word 'pwn'. Where does the word come from, when we split it into its components - 'p', 'w', and 'n'? Fascinating. :D

I can't belive it runs slow. Just not possible. My crappy Celeron 600 with 256 megs of sdram and a GeForce 4 MX restrains beasts like Morrowind without problems.

No. Get a new graphics card first ;)

Faster RAM, perhaps, rather than more of it.

Believe it - BF1942 has real hardware issues. With properly cranked system specs it'll run fine but with anything less than a medium/high specs computer you can forget full detail on audio and visual. It's a system whore, there's nothing more to it really.

But KT has serious lag when turning all the graphics down. :)

Oh wait, I have a demo here. Let's see how it runs...

PIII 933, GeForce 4 Ti4400, 384 megs or ram - I have it set to highest level of detail and I haven't experienced any problems. BUT! It won't run on ANYTHING shorter than this at that resolution, etc.
