For some reason, when I try to compile a movie in Premiere, I get a codec compression error. Here are my settings:
Codec: DivX 4.12
FPS: 15
Frame size: 512x277
Audio: Microsoft ADPCM, 16 bit, 44000 Hz
help anyone?

I'd have thought the solution was obvious.

Allright then, give up completely and do something else.:D
works for me!

Have you tried using the default settings and working your way up from there?
btw, v5.0.2 isn't all that buggy. I use it to compress my short animations all the time w/o any problems.

look at this like that:
Video1A: ---------------------
Transition: ----
Video1B: -------------------------
to the transition you pull from the transitions menu on the right the dissolve/slide/whatever effect you want. The before video is on Video1A and after in Video1B (can also be done vice versa, but you have to fiddle with the settings then), doubleclick on the transition to fiddle.
