Is it safe to come in here? Long lost Freespace fan making his way back into the Freespace community again...

Been lurking HLP sites ever since the old forums at Volition got shut down. Figured it was about time I came back again.

So, before anyone sends a Shivan destroyer at me, maybe you can recognize me by by old nick that I used at Volition boards. It was Starwatcher as far as I can remember.

Hmm... what's new in the world of Freespace then?

:nervous: Maybe I should shut the door again... those Shivans outside looked kind of hungry for some new flesh...

Anyways... I've been out of the loop since before the source code went public. But I know that some of you guys are working with it, and enhancing it in some way.

Any sites that tell me just exactly what you're doing with it? Without getting to technical? I just want to know what's knew. :) And I'm looking for some good fan-fiction too... read the newest that got released in a thread here. Mercenary or something like that. Can't remember the title to the letter right now.

Ever since I fell away from Freespace I got "adopted" on some other forums... :P So there... but now I want to get up to date on what's happening in this corner of the world...

Well whatever the case welcome to HLP, and the exits, as you can see, are on the back behing the aisle with the exit lights above them. I think someone else has briefed you on the weapons :)

There's quite a bit new, actually... well, there's the source code... there also seems to be a resurgence of new campaigns... just wait till they get finished. :D Have a look around the Forums, go ask questions... don't be afraid of people trying to eat you, you're perfectly safe here. :)
