No new models I feel like rendering quite yet, supposed to be doing work, half asleep. So I'm ****ing around with my pictures. Here.

Anyone else a photographer around here?
-
A moose with a fishing rod?
This I Like :)
-
it's a moose with a gun, right? :D
Very good otherwise, would make a nice "speech" scene
-
...
Moose?:wtf:
-
what is the moose's purpose in life?
-
Hey, that looks pretty cool, Stryke. What'd you take that on? :)

Hmm... that'd probably be the EOS IX, standard zoom lens.
You got any pictures? Put 'em up here.
-
As a matter of complete coincidence, I just did (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,12519.0.html). :)
Oh, you work with film? Who's darkroom do you use?
-
The film... for that camera, it only takes Advantix film. Which is nifty for a few things (you can take it out midroll and stick in a different roll, good for if you wanna switch between BW and color), but sucks because it's C-41, which can't be developed in the average darkroom.
I do SOME hand-developing, got a couple old AE-1 cameras inherited from my grandfather with standard film and some lenses. Don't use 'em as much, and I'm not sure I've got any pictures I developed on hand, but the answer's occasionally and with a mediocre degree of skill.
-
I wish I knew more about conventional film... I work in digital (I'm a cheapass). That's pretty cool though, I have a few other friends who've taken proper photography courses and everything.
-
Another.

Vignetting and blur aren't in the original print... I had an assignment to forge another photographer's style, and I happened to pick one whose work involved lots of low F-stops, high contrasts, and vignetting.
-
Hey, I'd go digital if I could afford a decent camera from the start. As it is, I couldn't even afford the ones I have, and often can't even pay the development costs.
I think digital takes a few years to pay itself off, but it looks pretty cool. I wanna see when they finally get it beyond just "almost as good as film, but more convenient".
Which will never happen for APS format, sadly since I've got an APS camera.
-
cool dog pic...
-
Hey, that first one looks pretty nice! I just can't tell if it's a very sharp-legged clown or a pot plant bulb.

Professional digital would, but I do all my work on a budget compact (cost me about USD$220, plus another USD$90 for the 128mb Memory Stick)... I've already recouped my cost many times over (I was saying to Shrike earlier over ICQ, I've recently taken my 12415th photo).
Yeah, that's something to look forward to. My next camera's still going to be a compact, but after that, I want to move to digital SLR. It really impresses me, the standard they're bringing digital up to nowadays... but film still has the upper hand by far for now.
For me, the ignorant one... what's APS?
(Oh, and yeah, I do like that dog... nice. )
-
Sorta a sub-35mm. Relatively recent setup- it's all those Advantix films and such you see. It's really cool for some things, but, as I said, it's all color process, and there isn't much variety in the types you can get.
-
Stryke, is that an angel in a church way up there at the top? Looks great. The light fuzz works well.
-
Museum, I believe, but yes. Thanks.
-
woa ****... you mean to tell me it's not a fishing moose?
-
w00t! Those are really good photos. And nice editing too
-
gloomy... I like.

Well, I like to think that I qualify as a very amateur one. :D
I work with a Canon EOS 500n SLR camera, and I've experimented with a wide range of films, but I still stick to the standard ISO 400 color. Dunno, I just like the simplistic style, I think. I'd post some of my stuff, but I don't have a scanner.
:p

You could always air-mail them to me for me to scan them. :D
Hey Stryke, have you got any more shots? What you've already put up is pretty good.
-
Books of 'em. Scanned, I only have a handful. Let's see...
(also one of the maybe three pictures I ever kept with a person in it.)
...
I guess I deleted all the old ones. Ah well, maybe I'll do more next weekend, if I don't have anything else up by then.

Always the practical person...

And, for variety, a color print. Got a ****load of these, too, but since color is ****ing HARD to get right on my scanner (note the dirt I couldn't fix) this'll be the only one I upload. Won an award, actually, which kinda surprised me...

You've never seen one of any kind, eh?
