:)

I'd put up the templates before, but still got messages saying "But I don't know how to use them, or make the other stuff.  Will you do it for me?"  (Or occasionally ones like "I don't have time to do it myself, will you?" which always annoyed me.)  I figured it would be a better investment of my time to make a tutorial, and then everyone can do their own at top quality.  :)

Well, I would try doing some stuff for the  Ragnarok (http://www.geocities.com/vasudanad/raganorak.txt) right now, but it's 4 AM and I'm eating Trotsky bread to stay awake.

Kudos to you, though. :)

I'd ask what Trotsky bread was, but I think I don't want to know...

:p

And as for Trotsky bread..well, they CALL it "Buttermilk" bread, but it is obviously the product of some particularly bad Five-Year Plan. :D

If you do something similar for the 'true' interface (main hall, barracks etc) then I will love you forever!

The odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field are approximately 3720:1.  The odds of me writing that are considerably lower.

If you are making new interface screens, how would a walkthrough help you, anyway?  Everything you'd be doing would be new.  A tutorial is good here because we want to reproduce the same effect as the original.  If you are making new stuff, do it however you like!
Have fun with all 1567 files...[/i]

Edit: Maybe this should be stickied, like Rampage's tutorial in Gen FS?

Well, most modelling tutorials have something that isn't going to be used by you anyway. It's there to show you how to do it in general.
