Is any German out there ?? I'm searching for some good german Campaigns, it is cuz of the Language, it's easier for me.
Can anybody help me ?
-
I don't think many campaigns are made in German. But you could probably find somebody that's real nice and knows both languages to convert one for you.
-
there was one on the vw archives, but i'm not sure wheter it's still there after the crash, just check http://archives.volitionwatch.com/fs2/missions/
and find out.

It's incomplete, and not exactly a Freespace campaign, but the guys running it are German, they have a german section on the forum and I believe that they'll be making both a German and English version of the campaign (when it's done).
-
I'm from Germany, well I don't know many Freespace campaigns in german. There was a very buggy campaign on the cd from Gamestar 11/2002 and as far as I remember there was campaign in the VW Archives that was in german.
-
...but I played the Campaign of the VW Archives, some time ago.
I played a lot of other (english) Campaigns of the VW Archives, too.
So I've got another Question:
I'm still searchin' for some good Campaigns(/Missions).
I would like it very much if somebody out there could tell me some and where I get them.
P.S.: If I've got wrong or not really good (British) English please correct me ! :)

To Echelon: I played the Campaign from the GameStar, the Story was very fine, but the missions not so. I have to say I played it 'course of the Story.:)

Actually, you seem quite proficient in English. You even have slang abbreviations and pronunciation down cold. There are only two things wrong that I see:
1) You have a tendency to follow German practice in capitalising your common nouns. We don't do that in English, as you probably know. We only capitalise proper nouns (i.e. names). Break that habit, and no one will ever know you aren't a native English speaker (or at least, not on the Internet, anyway).
2) "I have to say I played it 'course of the Story," should have read "I have to say I played it 'cause of the story." "Because" is the word you wanted there, which is sometimes abbreviated to 'cause, not 'course. :)

In the first two sentences, "of the VW Archives" should probably be "at the VW archives". The "A" in "archives" can be capitalized, but it would more commonly be lowercase.
In the "P.S.", "wrong" should be "bad". It's hard to explain the difference, since they can be used interchangeably and have different meanings. In this context, the best I can do is that if a fact is not correct, it's "wrong". If something isn't done skillfully, it can be said it's "bad".
Oh, and on the internet you can drop the period in acronyms; very few people actually take them time to do that on a message board.
Like Sesqui said, your english is pretty good...I'm really nitpicking, so don't take it personally. :D

hmm... didn't know this was a language course...
dunno about any german campaigns tho, seeing as I no longer understand german after a couple of years of not speaking it.

To nitpick WMCoolmon:
Wrong usually means "not right" or "incorrect". So he was wondering if he had any blatantly incorrect English, which is a valid question. (As opposed to just bad English, which probably means English that is almost correct but not quite.) The way you suggested, the sentence would be "if I had any bad English or not good English" which is redundant. ;)
Sesq: Ah, so that's why some words in German are capitalized in the middle of a sentence. I always wondered. Is that why some older documents have certain English words capitalized as well (because of English's Germanic roots and all)?

If you care about french, well I am :)

Thank you for the corrections!
I'm slangin' sometimes because I'm listening really often (about 2-3 hours (times???) to English music (like Eminem, KoRn, Disturbed...). So thank ya for the compliments(??).

Don´t let babelfish go over that, there´s nothing noteworthy in there

He Slanker kennst du ein paar gute Kamapgnen die ich spielen sollte? Ich hab zwar schon recht viele aus dem VW Archiv gespielt, bin aber Freespace 2 süchtig !! Danke im voraus !

Sorry kode !
But it's just something like: YES ! Here's someone who speeks my motherlanguage! I think you would do the same thing if you meet a swedish guy.
Let us have some good (english) talk !!!!

Give him a break, kode. :p If you want the translation, use http://babelfish.altavista.com. Not perfect, but good enough to get the gist of it.
