Title: Hiring Texturer!!!
Post by: Deepblue on January 06, 2003, 09:01:48 am
I need someone to do a texturing job on the Celeus (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,12399.0.html). Of course the person who textures it gets the model before anyone else. :D
So any volunteers?

(After looking over the picture of the model)

I could try, but I need a set of basic maps to work from.  Even 2 bit black/white ones would do.

Also, What sort of textures would you want?  Heavily mechancial, dark, light, form fitted etc....

Also, I still have not been able to get Trashmans fighter back to him.  That reminds me, Trash, whats your ICQ number? I would like to try that method of sending the file.

*Thwap* I just uninstalled ICQ cause A) I didnt use it B) It was spammy and anoying to have random people pop up and say "Hello" and other things which I will not speak of. As far as maps go I like the light colored metallic colors. The gun mounts on the wings sould kind of have a "Plated" gun look. Nearly anything you can cook up I can go with. As for the 2-bit textures what views/ angles of the ship do you need? Also what prog are you using. The model is in max format right now. :D

If you made the pof and UV Map available, I'd give it a go also - I need as much texturing practice as I can get :)

1. I can handle either V style single-map-for-whole-craft, or Aldo_14's  6 maps, one-for-each-side-of-cube style.

2. Currently using a freeware version of Paint Shop Pro 4, so it can't handle GIF's or TIF's:doubt:, but does PCX, JPG, BMP's etc fine.

Also, because of certain constraints, I only have TrueSpace 2(:()  for modding, so any other model format created needs to be compatabile with that, or I can't handle it. (note to self: must sort out website to post pics of current work)
