Title: Question about Shields & Weapons

What thinks are blocked by shields?
Cannons, Beam or Missiles?

I think only beams ignore shields, is that right?
If that is so what makes them ignoring shields and how could I transfere that to Missiles?
So in the ende fighterbased weapons and Capship Guns should be blocked by shields, but Missiles can pass through the shield, hitting the Hull directly.

The behaviour is hardcoded.

Well then...what would you do to simulate a shield that can't be damaged by fighterweapons, except Torpedos.

I thought about two ways
1) Making a realy realy strong shield and realy realy strong torpedos (with a quite small blast radius for its load)

2) Let the shields recharge so fast that it seams that you haven't hit it...and well make the Torpedos again strong enough to destroy the shield and damage the hull a little bit.

3) Get my hand on a bottle of pangalacticwhatever drink and send it with every DL of the mod...so it wouldn't matter if I got it working or not ^__^

Well I know that makes three, but who cares...
