You guys found a way around the beast infection yet?

If not, I have a suggestion. :D

Capture
+When
++Has-Arrived-Delay
+++(Delay)
+++(Ship to be infected)
++Fire-Beam
+++(Ship with infection beam)
+++(Infection turret)
+++(Ship to be infected)
IFF
+When
++Is-event-true-delay
+++CAPTURE
+++(Delay)
++Change-iff
+++Hostile
+++(Ship to be infected)

Still working on a way around the Infection texture change, but it's a start.

what if you made it so that you can have sprites with the infection texture show up on infected ships, instead of changeing the whole texture...

Decals looks like a good idea, if we can get the SCP boys to let you specify different decals for different weapons. :)

You can already do that.  Decals are specified at the bottom of each weapon entry.

Take a look at the 3.4 post - it has 3.4 up for download and loads of instructions on the decal stuff.  Unfortunately it doesn't have the change-model thing implemented yet.  Hang on a sec, and maybe I can upload it...

wow, can't believe i've missed so much, i thought they were still planning and playing. lol i guess that means u need it for new and certain d/ls like ships and missions?

Not to my knowledge, but several campaigns have them planned.

However, there's one caveat with the code - the 3.4 version has decals but not change-model or glowmaps, and the most recent build has change-model and glowmaps but not decals.

Eventually. :)

Don't use that build for model switching - it's a bit messed up, and I'm in the process of fixing it. :)

Mm... I need a :nodding side-to-side smiley. :D

The model switching code is fixed now; look for the next release. :)
