Nothings perfect but there should never be any show stopping bugs in the release of a campaign.

I`m on the first mission, wow really dig the nebulas, great work, got wasted the first time, to busy checking our the nebs, those enemy fighters (on my six).. I`ll get down to busness this weekend and kick some butt, or vise versa.... Thanks to all the BWO staff for there efforts.:yes:

First time I died, second time it randomly crashed...had to reboot

I am having problems with the last mission. It crashes when the gas miners jump in, also there is a big pink square on the backround. I for some reason can not post on the vwbb or I would have posted it there. Any help?:nod:

funny I was playing with FSO, and an unstable build at that, and it didn't crash for me,

I just replaced all the core files, but now I get a red rectangle to the right of the Hecate and it crashes before the gas miners arrive.
Edit- tried it again, now I get the square again. only now its blue.

I redownloaded the core files and i still have the same problem. I am using the regular Freespace2 exe. Do you want the error log?
Oh the square is below the the hect. It is like the square is replacing the stars in the backround.

I finally kicked the flu and played the demo kleen through..
I didn`t have but only one problem, never got the alpha depart message at the end of the second mission so I jumped out and the dedriefing didn`t warn me of leaving early.. Other than that minor glitch, the missions were flawless..
Didn`t notice any probs with the backgrounds but I was pretty busy with the enemy to see any :shaking:

Difficulty levels of some of the missions may be extreme on Medium and Hard difficulty. Recommended difficulty level for all missions is based on the FreeSpace 2 default level which is called Easy.
I missed BWO readme completely ( :blah: ) and played the demo through on medium level... Not that it was too hard tho...

Hehehe... I thought it was a bit suspicious when they asked us to disable Ahmose... and his escape pod didn't have an engine subsystem. :lol:

yeah, I finally could play it! didn't have distrupter weapons, so I tried to kill him... could have killed him a dozen times at least, with all I threw to the pof. sudenly jumped to 43 hull left just as it jumped out :doubt:
very nice otherwise, didn't have funky squares or anything, tho the cairo do have a couple polys missing/flipped. The docking station in the last mission is gorgeous btw :)
Only request is that it could have used voices for briefings/CB too :p

I thought of that too, but that's really picky. :D
Oh, but, during a few command briefings, the text filled up the text box (and of course, we know there's no scroll). (I still run at 640*480, I prefer 640*480 AA rather than 1024*768.)

Haven`t tried 640x480, hmmm, the fps would probably be much better than 1024x786 :)

im impressed with this release... i was shocked as how the glows of the sun was so intense that it made the otherside of ships completly shadow... throw in bob's new lightglow features from the open_source code, and u got some neeto effects!
cant wait for more!
i was so exited i was buggin out i am even out of breath...

That was used in TBP R1 over a year ago.

Ok, I took the time to play it a couple of days ago. I have to say, I'm impressed with the demo. The missions were an actual challenge for once. Throwing swarms of fighters at me isn't a challenge, but doing it from different positions does make it a challenge because I have to race to intercept them.
btw, theres a glitch in the last mission involving the two transports. They've got the wrong names and they don't go anywhere. :p
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to play with the new beam cannons to see how useful they are. :)
