Take a look at the horrid way viewers of his news agency (http://www.uruklink.net/eindex.htm) are forced to spend ages downloading seizure inducing flash animations.
I think the funniest thing about the site has to be his use of a third party page hit counter.
Sorry for the edit, Top Gun, but this should be made quite clear.
WARNING!
That site has a page which is infected with a virus. As Nobilis Draco pointed out below, the link to "Iraq Daily" under "Press" - pretty much in the very center of the front page, is infected with the HTML.redlof.a virus. So let's not tempt fate, eh? // Sandwich

-

That thing is riddled with spelling and grammar errors; is that even the real INA site? :wtf: :D As you said, there is too much use of scrolling text and flashing red stuff. :p
This was hilarious btw: http://www.uruklink.net/iraqnews/enews10.htm :D :D

:wtf:
What an odd little country
-
I like how after flying over 9000 Stories from Kuwait alone, all of our planes return to our Nest of Evilâ„¢
-
9,000 a year... let's see... that's almost 25 a day. Let's say the average plane and pilot take off every third day on average (just a guess). That's one hell of a lot of planes.
-
Also note how their firece air defenses keep driving us back....
-
Well, it's almost as likely as that we've gone through them like a hot knife through butter, never taking a hit. The country with the flak- and missile-proof fighterjets. :D
Well, choose your line of bull****, I suppose.
-
Err... Stryke mate, the US doesn't lie about the planes it lost. Five F-16s spring to mind, but only cos I've been playing Falcon 4 again...
-
I haven't heard reports about any losses in the past couple years. In fact, I last heard one about a week ago stating that there HAD been no losses.
-
Oh, no, not recently, fair enough. Sorry, I thought you meant during the war :) Don't think we've lost any of our recently, either...
-
Its amazing how much bullsh*t they manage to fit on a page.
EDIT: You can [email protected] them.
-
That Iraqi Women's Union thingy - is that just a few words on a website, or have our governments lied to us about the lot of women in Iraq? Either one I would believe
-
YAY! it just gave me a virus! don't click on the link under press that goes to irag daily. their website is infected with HTML.redlof.a

Wow, you're right! I use Mozilla, so I figured I'd test it - NAV is active and running, so what the heck. It alerted me of the virus in my Mozilla cache folder right away.
-
That. Is amazing.
-
Ouch. That's the kind of situation I wish I had some antivirus running.

Personally, I'm dying to find out how they embedded a virus into a web page. :p
-
Now, I think the question is whether this is a hacker thing, or whether it's meant to be there, and has something to do with this being the English page, rather than the Arabic one...:D
-
Anyone remember the Hacker war between the US and Chinese a while back?
-
All I remember is the Whitehouse.com being hacked with "We chinese, We play joke, We take ****ing peepee in your coke!"
Aparently they didn't know about .gov :doubt:
-
.gov is a bit of a harder target, ya know?
-
Yeah.. they tend to like Rasperry Ice tea.. It's harder to tell the peepee and it apart.
-
so after doing an hour and a half virus scan. and hunting through my registry it looks like my comp wasn't infected.
-
Hmm. Yer lucky.
Maybe we should have ND go first and check it out every time someone links to a suspect page... we needed a minesweeper around here.:D
-
umm...:nervous: I don't think so

Bah - I'm the one who was clearing out minefields for 3 years... :doubt:
-
mine clearing and UXO disposal have got to be the worst jobs in the world.
-
Sandwich: So, you're volunteering?

Summarize the job description and I'll tell you if I'm volunteering. :D

He has a virus on his home page :drevil:
well i`ll steer clear of it then..
(edit) Noted that i did let my curiosity get the best of me but i didn`t click on anything there :nervous:
Thinks to run virus scan anyway
-
yeah it's the html file for the main page that is infected I got the virus warning as soon as it loaded.
-
At the moment I can only wonder why people are still playing dumb and not using active virus scanners and firewalls... Keeping them, Windows and browser up to date is not a bad idea as well... :blah:

Actually, I disagree with you on the browser part. Being a web designer means that I have to cater to the lowest common denominator with a significant number of people, which at the moment means IE 5.0. I don't think I'll be uprading to IE5.5, let alone 6.0, for a looong time to come.
-
Sorry about that, I wasn't aware of it. I used Linux to view it which I think is immune to that particular ones.
Has anyone checked the minister for tourism's page? I bet he's got his work cut out.
It reminds me of that 2DTV sketch with germs in the image of Saddam Hussain chanting "infect, the west, infect the west".
At least we now know how they intend to crush the evil Americans' economy, talk about Weapons of mass destruction (It would be interesting if they filtered the ips of friendly nations) . I guess, evil cyber terror by rouge states wasn't just a scam to impose censorship and tighten electronic copyright laws  . My money is on the shrub citing it as a material breach of UN resolution 1441.
Edit: CP: They're using a company called satellite Media Services ( http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph/?mode_u=off&mode_w=on&site=www.uruklink.net ).
